Psyonix has announced the release of Rocket League Sideswipe in March 24, 2021. At first, the game has been released in Australia and in New Zealand:
Before Summer 2020, Rocket League was a paid game and available only in the steam store. In Summer 2020, Rocket League came free-to-play in the epic games store. Since then, the game has remained free. The same applies on here: Rocket League Sideswipe is available for free in the "Google Play Store" (Android) and "App Store" (IOS).
Most of us know Rocket League as a PC / PS4 / XboX / Nintendo Switch game and don't want to play it on mobile. This can have several reasons: Many may not have enough storage space or the smartphone just can not handle the game. The only possible way to play Rocket League Sideswipe on PC is to use an "mobile emulator" on the PC such as "Bluestacks". Although keep in mind that it is much more difficult to play Sideswipe with a mouse (and keyboard?). One possible way is to use a controller. I can not say that this is an approved method, but I have seen many people doing this, so if you are interested in trying that out, make sure to inform yourself properly on this topic.
Is Rocket League Sideswipe out yet? Yes, it is! The game was launched on November 15th 2021 for Autralia and New Zealand, and on November 29th for all the other regions. I personally think that it is a great game and it does not take long to master most of the machanics. If you are looking for a long term mobile game, you should definitely give it a try!
